When Family Patterns Feel Hard to Shift
Family challenges are rarely about one "problem person." More often, families get caught in patterns that make it harder for each person to feel heard, understood, or emotionally safe.
Often, the issue itself is only part of the story. What keeps families stuck is the emotional pattern that forms around it.
Areas of Support
Family therapy helps families slow down the cycle, understand what is happening underneath the conflict or distance, and begin to relate to one another in a more supportive way.
Support for recurring tension, arguments, emotional distance, or difficulty understanding each other's needs.
Help with conversations that tend to escalate, shut down, or leave people feeling unheard.
Space to explore distance, withdrawal, silence, or the feeling that family members are no longer truly connected.
Support for differences in expectations, roles, boundaries, discipline, or how each parent responds to stress.
Guidance through changes such as divorce, remarriage, relocation, children leaving home, new family structures, or major adjustments.
Support when loss, health concerns, caregiving, or prolonged stress affects how the family relates to one another.
Help for families navigating emotional or mental health difficulties while trying to stay connected and supportive.
A space to address misunderstandings, ruptures, resentment, or pain that has made connection feel harder.
Our Approach
Our approach is informed primarily by Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), which sees emotions and attachment needs as central to healthy family relationships.
Together, we explore the interaction patterns that keep the family stuck, the emotions that may be hidden beneath conflict or withdrawal, and the needs each person may be trying to express in their own way.
As families begin to understand what is happening beneath the surface, conversations can become less reactive and more compassionate. The goal is not to decide who is right or wrong, but to help each family member feel more understood, supported, and emotionally safe.
Family therapy is not about eliminating every difference or disagreement. It is about creating a stronger emotional bond so the family can navigate challenges together with more trust and connection.

What to Expect
Sessions are collaborative, structured, and emotionally focused. The work is paced carefully so each family member has space to be heard.
A free 15-minute call to understand what your family is facing, answer your questions, and see whether this support feels like the right fit.
We begin by exploring what has been happening, how each family member experiences it, and what patterns tend to repeat.
Sessions create a safe and respectful space for family members to share what they feel, need, and find difficult to say at home.
Over time, we work on repairing misunderstandings, softening reactive patterns, and developing more open, supportive ways of communicating.
First consultation is complimentary — no commitment required.
